Reincarnation

What is Reincarnation?
This is Wikipedia's definition of reincarnation.
Reincarnation, literally "to be made flesh again", is a doctrine or metaphysical belief that some essential part of a living being (in some variations only human beings) survives death to be reborn in a new body. This essential part is often referred to as the spirit or soul, the "higher" or "true" self, "divine spark", or "I". According to some beliefs, a new personality is developed during each life in the physical world, but some part of the self remains constant throughout the successive lives.[1]
The doctrine to be made flesh again is emphasized time and again in eastern religions.why?the simple answer is that of a moral nature. It says that karma and reincarnation provide the perfect way to realize justice in our world, by rewarding all, one’s deeds and thoughts in further lives. They will manifest, as good or bad happenings and circumstances, with mathematical exactitude, so that, everything one does, will be justly punished or rewarded, at both a quantitative and a qualitative level. we all need a justification to our birth and death in this world. There are so many unanswered questions in our lives and the only possible explanation is reincarnation.Man's life is determined by the action of his and his alone. It does not manifest by itself. It is man who determines what happens to him in future.karma and destiny are all manifestation of oneself.we need to realize this to lead a proper ethical life.
we always think of reincarnation as being punished and pushed into this world to redo the things that was done wrongly but dear folks let me assure you ,that it is not always the case.It is also meant to be the celebration of life and relationship.when someone dies without our knowledge our soul yearns for them, it manifests itself into a wish, which is energetically transformed into life and helps in fulfillment of the that wish.So let us look at life in a different perspective and derive true happiness out of it.
In My next post I will be talking about how religions can help us to understand reincarnation.

  1. Very nice. So as I understand it, our deeds and wishes make us come back, the guiding force being the Athma (soul). Does the soul always possess positive energy, or does it lose focus and starts aquiring negative energy?
Does the soul seek its path with the Divine help ?
If man is the writer of his own destiny, when and how does he determine that? Is it in the last stage of his previous birth, or in the space of time when he is dead but not reborn?

  2. The soul is always pure but our actions tarnish it.So prayers and our faith in God brings us closer to God and helps us to cleanse the tarnished soul.
yes the soul always yearns for the divine blessings b'cos it can recognise the divine instantly.
as he walks along the path of life he recognises the soul's needs and acts when he fails to do so he is in trouble.

  3. hmmm..In one of the blogs you said the GOD does not punish us for our wrong doings it is we or rather our conscious that does. Now does everyones conscious perceive the good and bad in the same way? If not, how are they punished or rewarded cos a lot of what we do is subjective to the situation that might force us to do things which may be wrong or right?

  4. No. God only guides us it is our actions that punish us.when we suffer it is our wrong doings that comes back. b'cos in this world energy is constant.for every action there is a opposite reaction. so what we do comes back to us either as a reward or as a misery.yes. everyone knows that they are doing something right and something wrong. it is like a law of the land u know the rules we decide to abide or break the rules.everyone is equal in the eyes of God.everyone is rewarded or punished some we are able to see somewe are not able to see.

  5. You mentioned that "karma and reincarnation provide the perfect way to realize justice in our world, by rewarding all, one’s deeds and thoughts in further lives". You also mentioned that our desires makes us comeback.

So at first it seems like we have no control over our birth cycle but at the same time if our desires have a role on our next birth, it translates to having some control.

Also what does it take to get out of this vicious cycle of life & death. What does the soul do if its not going thru this cycle.

  6. The realisation that God is the ultimate and the yearning to reunite with him and the needs and our wants have to be curtailed and detachment towards desires is the only way to break this vicious cycle of life and death.
Once this cycle is broken the soul is redeemed by the parathmaand united into him.so we all end up into him.

  7. Thank you. Really enjoying your blogs. As we read countless number our questions are racing thru our minds.

I am sure like me most of the blogee's ( who reads your blogs) have also heard your above comments from number of other sources. At that time it seems like it all makes sense but how exactly one proceed towards detachement from bondings and desires. I learnt from one of the satsang that we even have to remove the desire of self-realization. Actually bonding and desires are what makes us function and strive to reach higher. If these two qualities didn't exist in mankind, we would still be in the stone age era.

  8. I have a question. Will there ever be a time when every soul in the universe will be granted salvation? Or will there always be souls that have not gained salvation.

  9. Here we are talking about evolution as well.the soul evolves to become a redeemed soul in the process of evolution just as a body evolves with time so also the soul.there is a balance in nature the redeemed soul gives way for the undeemed soul and this redeemed soul gets enough opportunity to redeem itself.
it is like a school. can we say when all the students will be graduated from that school.as old students graduate new students are admitted into the school. is it not. life is also like that.if all the students graduate then they have to close down the school .will that happen?if your answer is no for the school then it is a no for the graduating soul as well.
