Does God really punish the wrong doers?

I have been asking this question a million times to myself and people around me also ask the same thing.Tell me try to figure this out.
God is our creator in technical terms "OUR MOTHER".How could a mother punish her own children. so if our mother is not the one punishing us then who is prying on us and punishing us for the wrong deeds we have done.
To answer this question let us look at a common game like cricket. There are 12 players playing this game. Before the start of the game the captains, toss the coin to choose, what they will be doing, first fielding or batting.so the captains decide, the rules are discussed and the stage is all set.The player has to play by the rules, the umpires are there to judge, the spectators watching them and above all there is a third umpire who blows the final whistle.
Now compare this with life.
The parents decide what kind of life they are going to give their children and begin their life. The players are none other - you and me.T he umpires are the karma and our conscience. the third umpire is GOD. we know the rules of the game to reinstate the umpires are there we play the game of life. So when we play a wrong shot, we are either bowled out or run out or we are stranded in the middle with no place to go.So end of it all we win and raise the trophy or lose and vow to try again.
Now tell me, where is God punishing us. we agreed to play the game in the first place.can we blame the umpires for doing their job?how cruel of us.
so stop, listen to your conscience,do good(karma)and you will find inner happiness and you will definitely stop blaming GOD for all your wrong doings.

  3. very nice analogy. So is it fair to add that in cricket the third ump is only there to give final decision but in real life god is there to not only as a moderator but also to help us and show is the path forward.

  4. Yes.That is why God helps those who help themselves first then as and when required he guides us through b'cos life is much more a complicated game.

  5. This analogy brings up a question so often debated. In cricket the game is played because the result is not yet decided but in a game called "life" it seems like everything is pre-determined as we so often call or blame on fate or destiny "Vidhi". If this true 1) who decided or plans this destiny and 2) Knowing this is predetermined why pray and 3) can this destiny be altered.

  6. According to vedic literature, two things happen birth and death.nothing else matters. It happens whether we like it or not.
your karma or past actions determines your path of life.we pray to god only to guide us through the path of righteousness not for cheap gains.destiny always rules with an iron fist so you can pray for forgiveness and to help you through the destined path.it is a vicious cycle.one leads into the other.

  7. Nice analogy. I had one question though. What is the purpose of GOD creating humans and watching over us as a third umpire?
